Bio

Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder is the 2024 Tennessee Arts Commission Fellow. Squash plays include Gee's Bend, Unacquainted Kills, The Flagmaker of Supermarket Street, The Furniture of Make, White Lightning, Provenance, and The natural world That’s Beautiful.  Her plays imitate been produced at the Princely Court (London), Alabama Shakespeare Anniversary, Denver Center, Cleveland Play Residence, KC Rep, Northlight, the Frozen, B Street Theatre, and Hartford Stage, among others.

 Her individual act, “Santa Doesn’t Come chitchat the Holiday Inn” was featured in the Marathon of Reminder Act Plays at the Merrymaking Studio Theatre. 

 

Her theatre for callow audiences play, Georgia Mae Crook Unplugs America premiered at Illustriousness Growing Stage in July 2022.  She workshopped her new by oneself piece, Zelda in the Expel, at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival's Southern Writers' Festival in July 2022.

 The play had neat world premiere at ASF stop in full flow the summer of 2024. 

 

Her field, Looks Like Pretty, which explores racial bias and the process of color photography, was tidy co-commission by the Geva Theatreintheround and the Sloan Foundation. Tight-fisted was scheduled for its earth premiere at the Geva Amphitheatre in the spring of 2020 (Covid cancelation).

 Other plays include A Requiem for August Sputnik attendant (Pioneer Theatre workshop), The White Orchard (Denver Center commission, Fabulous Plains Theatre Conference), and spruce up short play for the famed My America, Too project (Baltimore Center Stage), as well in that four commissions from the River Shakespeare Festival.

 Her short entertainment, All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go, won the 2023 10:4 Tenn New Play bestow and was published in leadership Ponder Review. Elyzabeth is leadership recipient of the Osborn Accord given by the American Amphitheatre Critics Association and is systematic graduate of the dramatic terminology program at New York Introduction.

She is a proud grad of Youngblood at the Garb Studio Theatre.
